Tips for travellers
In Villefranche-de-Conflent: Take a stroll through this beautiful fortified Vauban town, a UNESCO World Heritage site ... ... and plan to get to the station approximately 30 minutes before the Yellow Train leaves (limited availability in summer).
In Mont-Louis: Here, too, you can see the Vauban fortifications that earned the citadel its UNESCO listing, then take the bus for a hike to Bouillouses Lake.
At Font-Romeu-Odeillo-Via: Get off the train and, either on foot or by bus, head to the admirable site of Font-Romeu where athletes from around the world come to train.
In Latour-de-Carol: At the terminus of the Yellow Train, return to your point of origin. Or take the connecting train to Toulouse ... or even the night train to Paris!
