On the banks of the Canal du Midi, l’Ecluse 12 is the new friendly restaurant in the lock-keeper’s house in Laval.

L’Écluse 12 enjoys a privileged location right on the banks of the Canal du Midi, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It’s in this bucolic setting that the restaurant offers a gourmet break for cyclists, locals, boaters and walkers.

L’Ecluse 12 offers friendly cuisine with home-cooked dishes based on fresh produce and local cheeses, as well as tapas and vegetarian options. In winter, you can enjoy an all-you-can-eat raclette!

Inaugurated in 2025 as a “guinguette éclusière”, the establishment has come to life thanks to the renovation of the “maison éclusière” and a local desire to revitalise this emblematic site. A brand new car park, inaugurated in 2025, now provides easy access for visitors.
