Created in 1993 by the Association pour la Sauvegarde des Métiers du Bois, this museum houses a collection of 110 entrance doors from the 17th to the 20th century in 6 small rooms.

It provides a didactic presentation of their technical design (wood species, mounting, assembly) and decoration: colors, moldings, sculptures.
The museum also features different types of window and shutter joinery, ironwork, knockers, locks and antique tools… saved from oblivion and destruction and thus preserved.

It’s the fruit of the labor of a passionate carpenter and cabinetmaker, Compagnon du Devoir et du Tour de France, keen to pass on a heritage as well as his knowledge and experience.

The museum is aimed at the general public as well as professionals: carpenters, metalworkers, architects looking for models to restore old buildings.
