Intrepid families, bucolic or experienced hikers… everyone will find their place at the Refuge de Larribet. In the heart of the Pyrenees National Park, a 2h30 walk will allow you to meet us there.

60 places. Guarded from June to September. The hike to Larribet will charm you, the heights of Arrens-Marsous in the Val d’Azun are calm and wild. Forest, lakes and waterfalls will mark out your route to finish in a high mountain atmosphere, at the foot of the cirque of Pabat where our refuge is located. An adventure to be experienced with the family for a meal only or for an overnight stay in the middle of the mountains. Very rarely crowded, the Larribet refuge is really comfortable. The dormitories are made up of small boxes of 5 to 6 places maximum, making it very pleasant. And there is even a hot shower. It is the 4 stars of the Pyrenean refuges ! .

Once at Larribet, the family objective could be to go up to see the “”natural”” lakes of Batcrabère. The first one is less than half an hour from the refuge! The lucky ones will be able to discover the Pyrenean fauna: isard, marmot, ermine, bearded vulture… and the abundant flora in these places. And for the most motivated, the ascent of Balaïtous remains the first objective of our hikers, it is besides for this reason that the refuge was built in 1958.
