Are you looking for the peace and quiet of the forest? Would you like to learn more about wild plants or improve your ability to identify edible mushrooms? Yes? Then we invite you to stay at “La Maison dans la forêt”.

Situated in the south-west of France, in the Sidobre region and surrounded by 40 hectares of woodland, in the hamlet of Rocalet, you’ll find yourself in a place of absolute tranquillity.
However, this hamlet is situated just 2 km from the small village of Vabre. By car, it takes 5 minutes to get there; by bike, 10 minutes; and on foot, it’s a half-hour walk.
We offer ‘Nature’ holidays for individuals or groups. The main house, with its three bedrooms, can accommodate up to seven people.

The aim of these stays is, of course, to rest and recharge your batteries – but also to learn. You can choose between a course on wild plants or a guided foraging trip for edible mushrooms, followed by a workshop. See the ‘Prices’ tab.

There are several walks that start right from La Maison. Alternatively, you can walk down to the river for a swim or hire bikes to explore further afield.

To stay overnight, you can either bring your own sleeping bag or have a bed prepared for you (sheets and towel included). A large kitchen is available for you to use, to be shared with other guests.
