In the heart of the Tarn countryside, this unusual wooden gîte, with its octagonal shape, invites you to set down your bags and enjoy time at your own pace. Located near the owners’ house, which shares the same original architecture, it offers peace and open views.
Here, you can take in the scenery of southern Tarn and, on clear days, enjoy a panoramic view of the Pyrenees. Hiking trails, country walks or relaxing naps on the terrace – everything encourages you to slow down and savour the moment. Ideally placed in the Pays de Cocagne, the gîte is close to Lavaur, where you can wander the narrow streets around the Saint-Alain cathedral. In Giroussens, the contemporary ceramics centre and the Jardin des Martels make for a lovely stop. Going further, the Gaillac vineyards and picturesque villages like Puycelsi, Castelnau-de-Montmiral and Lisle-sur-Tarn offer charming excursions. For a cultural day trip, Albi, a UNESCO-listed city, with its majestic cathedral and Toulouse-Lautrec Museum, is within easy reach.

The gîte, with a surface area of 42 m², is laid out as a spacious, open-plan studio with a warm and unique atmosphere. It includes:
– a sleeping area with a 140×200 cm bed,
– a cosy sitting area,
– a functional kitchen,
– a mezzanine accessed by a small staircase, ideal for reading or relaxing,
– a shower room with WC.
The wooden design brings a gentle, cocooning feel, complemented by the wood-burning stove, perfect in the cooler seasons.

In terms of amenities, everything has been designed for a simple and pleasant stay: a well-equipped kitchen, a warm atmosphere, and a deliberate choice to return to the essentials – no TV, no dishwasher, no washing machine. Just what you need to feel good.

From the living area, a large wooden terrace opens out onto the countryside. Covered and shaded, it’s ideal for al fresco meals. Surrounding the gîte, a small garden filled with lavender and aromatic herbs offers a fragrant, peaceful atmosphere.
