The Castagnère 4* gite will be the ideal place to recharge your batteries in the middle of nature. Discover an authentic gite in harmony with its environment.
Located in the Cevennes National Park, at the foot of Mont Lozère, with private access to the Cèze River and at the start of hiking trails, the gite was built in a 13th century farmhouse combining tradition and modernity: 4* classified tourist accommodation.
The gite is independent and open to the surrounding nature (surrounded by 20 hectares of meadows and woods).
Your stay at the Castagnère 4* gite will be the opportunity to discover the Cevennes culture.
You will benefit from a visit of the Castagnère farmhouse and will be able to better understand the life of the Cevennes over the centuries: chestnut cultivation, silkworm breeding, religious wars, the Beast of Gévaudan…
Your host will be happy to share with you his favorite hikes, the markets not to be missed, the richness of the heritage or the addresses of local producers.
The Castagnère gite, with stones and exposed beams will give you a change of scenery and will contribute to let go. The rivers are yours, where you will be alone in the world (swimming, trout fishing, gold panning…), the hikes are as numerous as they are varied, with breathtaking viewpoints!
