Fontiers-Cabardès, a charming village in the Aude department of Occitanie, is nestled in the heart of the Montagne Noire. Its medieval heritage and lush green landscapes make it an ideal destination for lovers of nature and history. Among the must-see sites are the Cubserviès waterfall, the ruins of Saissac Castle and the mysterious Limousis cave. Just a few kilometres away, the city of Carcassonne, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, captivates visitors with its ramparts and the Count’s Castle. Hiking enthusiasts will enjoy the woodland trails in the Haut-Languedoc Nature Park, as well as those starting from the estate. When it comes to gastronomy, the region offers the famous Castelnaudary cassoulet, local charcuterie and Cabardès wines. The farmers’ markets are brimming with local produce: honey, cheeses and olives. The warm welcome from the locals and the unspoilt landscapes make Fontiers-Cabardès a true haven of peace. You’ll be staying on a fully enclosed 7-hectare estate, featuring two lakes, one of which is suitable for swimming. Myriam will share her passion for her craft with you and introduce you to the range of wellness products they produce themselves. After your excursions, enjoy a moment of relaxation in the unheated indoor swimming pool, or treat yourself to a session in the estate’s hammam (€20 per person per hour). On request, the hostess can arrange optional spa treatments. The family suite is situated on the first floor of the manor house and comprises two bedrooms with a central bathroom. There is a separate toilet. Depending on the season, breakfast is served either indoors or outdoors on the large panoramic terrace. Table d’hôte meals are available upon booking.
