“Don’t dream your life, live your dreams” is the mantra of David Marfaing, the unconventional founder of Ariège Evasion.

An entrepreneur unlike any other, David has had an unusual career in the mountains.
A nature lover first and foremost, he has been a true pioneer of outdoor sports activities in the Pyrenees. His vision of the tourist economy and his commitment to preserving the environment are more relevant than ever.

David is passionate about sports.

David believes in this department. He didn’t give his company its name by chance. A connoisseur of this playground, he has traveled to the 4 corners of the world. This atypical manager’s leitmotiv is to help you discover “his” world, whatever the season!

Since 1991, canoes have been available for hire without supervision on the most beautiful course in the Pyrenees. These descents of a mountain torrent are free and unaccompanied, level II on a V scale.

Canyoning is a flagship activity for Ariege Evasion. The team is supplemented during the season by instructors with a passion for teaching!

Cycling is present in all its forms at Ariege Evasion. Road bikes to the legendary cols, mountain bikes, downhill scooters…

Climbing: 20 minutes from Tarascon, Ariege Evasion’s climbing potential is internationally renowned. From the boulders of Laramade (his grandmother’s field) to the Dent d’Orlu and its 1000m routes to the Quié de Sinsat at Calames, the list of crags is looong!

Caving: With parents who discovered the new Niaux cave network, David could not but have fallen into the pot at an early age. The manager makes it a point of honor to offer the discovery of the underground environment.

Summer or winter hiking in the Haute Ariège is a still-secret spot that appeals to all participants…
