Le trésor de la collégiale Saint-Jean a été aménagé dans l’ancienne salle du Chapitre. Il se définit comme le lieu “muséal” créé au sein du sanctuaire religieux et par les objets qui le composent.

The Musée-trésor de la collégiale Saint-Jean de Pézenas is the only one of its kind in the French department, presenting an exceptional collection of sacred art objects from the 17th to the 19th centuries: paintings, chapiers, liturgical vestments, devotional objects, reliquaries, sacred vases, large church santons, remarkable pieces of silverware… Partly refurbished in 1994 on the initiative of the French Ministry of Culture, its interest lies in the diversity and artistic quality of the works on display.
The musée-trésor occupies the sacristies and chapter house of the collegiate church built by architect Jean-Baptiste Franque in 1740.
