At the foot of the cathedral and under the cloister, the terraced garden slopes gently down towards the Orb. From here you have a magnificent view of the surrounding countryside, from the Mediterranean to the Minervois hills and the Canal du Midi. Designed like one of those famous “French-style embroideries”, the garden was a haven of peace and serenity that the church was forced to bequeath to the people of Béziers.
