Lentisque is an eco-gîte in the heart of a wine estate, Le Domaine du Château de Stony, producer of organic wines between Sète and Montpellier, in the commune of Frontignan Lapeyrade. Located in the “ramonétage”, the former residence of the steward, this gîte has been completely renovated with respect for the old building, using natural, healthy materials (wood, lime, bio-sourced insulation). The 45 m2 duplex apartment comprises: Ground floor: 1 living room of 21m² with fitted kitchen, dining room, lounge and toilet. Efficient wood-burning stove and electric heating if required for winter evenings. There’s no air-conditioning, but the gite is very well insulated and designed from the outset to keep cool in summer. Fans are also available. Upstairs: 1 bedroom of 19m2, with 2 beds (80×200 cm) that can be made up to 160cm, bathroom with shower and toilet. Reading material and games are available for good times with family and friends. Outside: in fine weather, enjoy a small private terrace overlooking the estate courtyard. Barbecue shared by all 3 gîtes. From the estate, you can walk or cycle along the garrigue paths. Holidaymakers with bikes are welcome, as the refurbished greenway is just 1.8km away. We have the “Accueil Vélo” label. It’s also possible to rent bikes on site with a local service provider. It’s also an opportunity to discover the winegrowing industry. The owners offer cellar tours and tastings of their different vintages if you wish. You’ll be close to the beaches of Frontignan (10 min by car), the beautiful town of Sète (6 km), the Etang de Thau, the Mediterranean Sea and the wild beaches of Les Aresquiers, 1 km from the Massif de la Gardiole and 20 min from Montpellier, as well as the cathedral of Villeneuve les Maguelone, Pézenas, the Lac du Salagou… Electricity: 4kWh/day/person included in the price.
