Le Candèze

MONESTIES , Tarn – Alloggio in affitto

Chi siamo

The castle of Candèze is the story of Monestiés.

Monestiés, one of the “Most Beautiful Villages of France”, its first mention dates back to 936. After the crusade against the Albigensians in 1229, the village passes to the hands of the bishops of Albi who entrust the protection to them. Candéze Castle is one of the three stately homes that guard the three entrances of the village. One of them, the Candèze gate, restored during the Hundred Years War allowed access to the village from the south. You will take the Candèzqui lices that correspond to the old ditches of the city, pass under the Gate to access the house.
You will appreciate its surface, its calm, its freshness, its adjoining park bordered by a river. You will relax, and you will fall like us under the charm of the place and this beautiful authentic village.

Cottage for two, in the heart of the medieval village, simply arranged in the lower part of the castle of Candèze. The owners live above, on the floors of the castle. Old stones, old doors, tiled floors, antique furniture make the charm of this place. The cottage directly overlooks the Lices, which must be crossed to go to the large park (2800m²) surrounded by walls, on the edge of Cérou, planted with hundred-year-old trees. You will find a living room of garden, a plancha.
