Perfection at Château Bagen, a seventeenth-century château in exceptional surroundings: heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, 2 hectares of enclosed parkland, formal gardens, enchanting decor and services!

A unique location, an unforgettable experience, a personalised family welcome… There’s no shortage of superlatives to describe the stay you’re about to enjoy.
Built in 1632 by the de Saint-Gême family, the Château remained in the family for over 200 years. The last member of the family, Henri, is buried not far from the Château’s chapel, which is accessible for your moments of recollection. The current owners, who took over in March 2024, are committed to preserving the original furnishings while offering you modern comforts. The grounds will enchant your morning strolls and the private outdoor swimming pool (heated to 30°C from May to September) will soften your days, while you wait for a good family meal in the pool house. Table tennis and boules are also available.

In the Hameau de Bagen, in Sauveterre-de-Comminges, you’ll be 15 minutes from one of France’s most beautiful villages, Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges, and from Saint-Gaudens (shops, restaurants, market and train station). The swimming lake and golf course of Montréjeau is 15km away, Bagnères-de-Luchon and the summer and winter resort of Le Mourtis are 35mn away.

Gîte on 3 levels:
– Ground floor: entrance, dining room, sitting room in the Tour Marguerite and kitchen divided into 2 rooms.
– First floor: Children’s bedroom (3 single beds 90*190cm and games room with TV), Barousse bedroom (double canopy bed 140*190cm), Comminges bedroom (double bed 160*190cm), shower room (washing machine and tumble dryer) and separate WC.
– Second floor: Pic du Gar suite (double bed 160*200cm, jacuzzi bath and WC), Pic du Cagire suite (double bed 160*200cm, shower and separate WC) and Pic du Midi suite (double bed 140*200cm, bath and WC).
From the garden, the gîte part of the Château extends from the Tour Marguerite, built from the remains of Château du Barry, to the first watchtower. The owners live in the adjoining part.
