In this small, village-like alleyway, just outside Place Nationale, push open the door and step into another world. Dim lighting, the atmosphere of an Italian café, vintage pieces full of character… There’s a hint of Sicily and la dolce vita in the air.

At the table, Italy sets the tone. Pasta, pinse, tiramisu, a strong espresso… and above all, a menu that also features plenty of gluten-free options. Here, pleasure doesn’t have to choose sides! The gourmet grocery section lets you extend the experience at home. The antique corner invites you to browse among the objects that enhance the space.

All at reasonable prices, with such a warm welcome that you promise yourself you’ll return before you’ve even left the house.

And why Nonno Gallo? A playful nod to the old shop, Mamie Poule’s Workshop. Mamie becomes Nonno, the grandfather, the hen gives way to the rooster: a whole story of heritage and Italian roots, with Olivier’s Sicilian grandfather as a backdrop. All this under the watchful eye of Ingres, in the front row from his trompe-l’œil.
