Restored during the second half of the 19th century, strictly respecting the classical rules of its ancient past, the garden has retained a number of furnishings, decorations, relics and surviving plants (in particular, holm oaks and green olive trees) that bear witness to its quality in days gone by. It has also been enhanced by the addition of one of the most beautiful 19th-century orangeries in the region and planted with many varieties that typify the range of plants popular at that time (common hackberry, Balearic boxwood, pagoda trees, Chinese windmill palms, etc.). The whole effect is that of a mixed garden where extensive French-style flowerbeds are juxtaposed with criss-crossed English-style groves.
