The Villa Antonine was the summer residence and studio of Béziers sculptor Jean-Antonin Injalbert. The house is surrounded by a delightful, lush garden with fountain and pergola. Sketches of several of the master’s sculptures are hidden among the trees, shrubs and flowerbeds.
And then there’s his studio, at the far end of the garden, adorned with caryatids of Antonine, Antonin’s lover; a lovely spot of coolness in a sun-drenched city.
