The family home at Rivel has become a holiday home
Totally independent holiday cottage, halfway between Toulouse and Albi. Ideal for a stay with family or friends, just outside the charming village of Giroussens, at the gateway to the Gaillac vineyards.

Giroussens, an ancient fortified town founded at the end of the 13th century around a castle overlooking the valley, was a prosperous little town before the French Revolution, thanks to the activity of numerous potters established on the edge of the forest, using a privilege granted to the inhabitants to take wood from the forest to fuel their kilns. Some remarkable pieces remain from this local industry, which can be seen at the Giroussens Ceramic Centre.

Everything has been thought of at Le Rivel for a peaceful holiday: quality services, generous accommodation, a lovely terrace for pleasant summer evenings and a huge garden, not forgetting the covered bowling green and of course the beautiful swimming pool, just for you!

Opposite the front door is a park with a granite table in the shade of three large plane trees for pleasant outdoor meals. On the south side, the kitchen opens onto a large terrace from which you can admire the Agout valley and the village of Saint Lieux below.
On either side of the access road, a plantation of trees (holm and pubescent oaks, field maples, umbrella pines) has been planted over 4000 m².

– Beautiful kitchen with dining table equipped with American fridge with freezer, Senseo® pod coffee maker and filter coffee maker, 2 toasters, microwave, kettle, oven, dishwasher, raclette / pierrade machine, hand blender, electric mixer.
Behind the kitchen, utility room with sink, washing machine and cleaning equipment.

– Four large bedrooms :
– all with two 90x190cm beds per room
– one bedroom on the ground floor of the holiday cottage, next to the living room
– three bedrooms on the first floor of the holiday cottage

– A bathroom with double washbasin, shower and bath on the ground floor. Separate toilet on the ground floor
– A second bathroom on the first floor with washbasin and bath. Separate toilet upstairs

*The annex

From the outside terrace, the holiday cottage is complemented by the annexe.
The annex comprises a small living room with a kitchen (oven, sink, filter coffee maker, etc.), a dining table for two and a television.
Upstairs, the fifth bedroom with two single beds also 90x190cm and an en-suite shower room with shower, washbasin and wc.

*Outside

Several terraces adorn the guest house.
– The south-facing terrace, with views over the Agout valley and the village of Giroussens; located in front of the guest house kitchen with charcoal barbecue and gas barbecue/plancha, with part of the terrace covered.
– The small terrace of the Annexe with its “bistro” table and chairs. Situated next to the South terrace, allowing you to link them together or to isolate it to enjoy a moment in the annexe.
– North terrace, cooler and therefore appreciated on hot days. It has a table tennis table and table football, as well as 10 bicycles for you to use to explore the village of Giroussens.

The games shed: equipped with lighting for the evenings, located just a few metres from the guest house, it’s the perfect place for a game of badminton, a few baskets of basketball or a game of petanque!

The pool measures 11 x 5 m, with depths ranging from 0.90cm to 1.70m. Solarium and outdoor shower.
