Self-catering gite with fireplace in a house in a typical southern French hamlet overlooking the Plaine de Barjac and the Anselm Kiefer Eschaton Foundation on the edge of the Ardèche.
In the middle of the garrigue, you are at the start of many hiking trails. Within a 10-kilometre radius, you’ll find a swimming area on the Cèze or Ardèche rivers, as well as at the Orgnac and Méjannes Le Clap swimming pools.
Barjac is the starting point for a number of tourist routes: the Ardèche gorges, the Aven d’Orgnac, the Grotte de la Salamandre, the Grotte Chauvet 2, the Cocalière, the Bois de Païolive, Les Vans, the Château d’Allègre, the chapel of Saint Saturnin, the Argensol gorge, the spa town of Les Fumades, the Concluses at Lussan, the Sautadet waterfalls, La Roque-sur-Cèze, Goudargues, Aiguèze, the Bamboo Grove, the potteries of Anduze, the Cévennes, Uzès, the Pont du Gard, Nîmes, Avignon, the sea at Grau du Roi or La Grande Motte.
