Hidden from view, in the city of Alès, a green setting hides an atypical place called La Batéjade.
The 17th century estate welcomes you in three cute rooms and invites you to live moments of tranquility, curiosity and relaxation.
In this domain, the stones speak of a silkworm farm, a farmhouse, vaulted cellars, a sheepfold, a henhouse, water reserves and a stable. It is this last place which was transformed into rooms of hosts.
In the middle of a 4ha park, a small shaded garden welcomes you. Then you enter the old stable with its vaulted ceiling and beams which offers a space where relaxation, meditation and other wellness sessions are proposed.
On the first floor, the 3 rooms breathe quietude. The color purple predominates, linens, trays, cups, glasses and even the floor are in the colors of the old tiles made in what remains of the lime oven.
In order to discover this atypical place, Catherine invites you to have breakfast in the old orange grove that has become the kitchen, which arouses curiosity.
But in winter, she prepares breakfast with homemade products in the living room by the fireplace.
A guided tour can be arranged that will take you through 4 centuries of existence of this incredible place in the capital of the Cevennes: Alès
