Kermès is an ecogîte in the heart of a winegrowing estate, Le Domaine du Château de Stony, a producer of organic wines between Sète and Montpellier, in the commune of Frontignan Lapeyrade. It has been renovated with respect for old buildings, using natural, healthy materials (wood, lime, bio-sourced insulation). The 120m2 “Kermès” gîte sleeps 8, and comprises: Ground floor: a living room with kitchen and dining area, and a sitting room. A private terrace overlooking the vineyards. A ground-floor bedroom adapted and accessible for people with reduced mobility, with 1 bed 140×200 and an en-suite shower room. Upstairs you’ll find 1 bedroom with 2 beds 80×200, a 3rd bedroom with 1 bed 140×200 and on the mezzanine 2 beds 80×200 (possible as a double bed). Reading material and games are at your disposal for good times with family or friends. Outside: take advantage of the estate’s grounds and the barbecue shared by all 3 gîtes. From the estate, you can walk or cycle along the garrigue paths. Holidaymakers with bicycles are welcome, as the rehabilitated “voie verte” is close by (1.8km). We have the “Accueil Vélo” label. It’s also possible to rent bikes on site with a local service provider. It’s also an opportunity to discover the winegrowing industry. The owners offer cellar tours and tastings of their different vintages if you wish. You’ll be close to the beaches of Frontignan (10 min by car), the beautiful town of Sète (6 km), the Etang de Thau, the Mediterranean Sea and the wild beaches of Les Aresquiers, 1 km from the Massif de la Gardiole and 20 min from Montpellier, as well as the cathedral of Villeneuve les Maguelone, Pézenas, the Lac du Salagou… Electricity: 3kw/day/person included in the price.
