La Grossille, takes its name from the Occitan GRAU meaning estuary, channel or mountain pass.
The 126 m2 gîte, totally independent, located in a wing of this old XVIIth century building, has kept the discreet charm of living memories.

La Grossille is close to the Cevennes National Park, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and labeled “International Dark Sky Reserve”.

Built in a calm and serene environment, open on a vast landscape of chestnut trees and green oaks, the house reveals to those who come to rest the secret beauty of unexpected places.

In addition to the direct access to the GR61 which connects Saint-Jean-du-Gard to the Aigoual, other hiking itineraries, find their starting point from the gite: Mont Brion, Mercou pass (Stevenson path), Sainte Croix de Caderle. Maps, topo guides and other documents are at your disposal for gourmet, festival or sport escapades.

From the mountains to the sea, the heritage is rich and just waiting to be discovered: the Maison Rouge Museum, the Cévennes steam train, the Pont du Gard, the Nîmes arenas, the Duchy of Uzès and many other curiosities, to illustrate a travel diary.
