Garance is an eco-gîte in the heart of a wine estate, Le Domaine du Château de Stony, producer of organic wines between Sète and Montpellier, in the commune of Frontignan Lapeyrade. Located in the “ramonétage”, the former residence of the steward, this gîte has been completely renovated with respect for the old building, using natural, healthy materials (wood, lime, bio-sourced insulation). The 80m2 duplex “Garance” gîte sleeps 6 to 7 people: Ground floor: a living room with kitchenette, dining room and sitting room, plus a lovely terrace overlooking the vineyards. Upstairs: a bedroom with 1 double bed (140×200), a 2nd bedroom with 1 single bed (90×200) (possibility of extra bed with 1 extra single bed (80×190)) and on the mezzanine 2 single beds (80×200) and 1 extra single bed. For your winter evenings, relax in the living room by the wood-burning stove (electric heaters available if required). There’s no air-conditioning, but the gite is very well insulated and designed from the outset to keep cool in summer. Fans are also available. Reading material and games are available to enjoy with family and friends. Outside: in fine weather, enjoy a small terrace overlooking the vineyards. Barbecue shared by all 3 gîtes. From the estate, you can walk or cycle along the garrigue paths. Holidaymakers with bicycles are welcome, as the refurbished “voie verte” is just 1.8km away. We have the “Accueil Vélo” label. It’s also possible to rent bikes on site with a local service provider. Discover our winegrowing activities. The owners offer cellar tours and tastings of their different vintages. You’ll be close to the beaches of Frontignan (10 min by car), Sète (6 km), the Etang de Thau, the wild beaches of Les Aresquiers, 1 km from the Massif de la Gardiole and 20 min from Montpellier.
