Moored on the Rhône Canal, this charming barge offers three fully equipped rooms, each with its own private bathroom and toilet. All rooms are air-conditioned or heated depending on the season. The peaceful, green surroundings invite you to relax and unwind.

Just a few steps from the barge, enjoy a swimming pool with sun loungers — the perfect extension of your wellness break. Onboard, a wellness area is also available: treat yourself to a relaxing massage, by reservation (extra cost, bookable through Terre d’Argence Réservation – “Luma Shiatsu” service).

Ideally located between Arles and Nîmes, the barge is the perfect starting point to explore the culture and traditions of the Camargue: day trips to Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, visits to Les Baux-de-Provence, the troglodyte abbey, Daudet’s windmill, Roman arenas, local festivals, or bike rides along the ViaRhôna and walks through the vineyards.

Labelled “Accueil Vélo”, the Péniche Farniente is a top stop for cycling travelers. Bicycles are securely stored in a locked facility directly across from the barge. For a complete stay, optional extras include a table d’hôtes dinner, a sports-style breakfast, and massages.

A Truly Unique Experience
Extend your river adventure: you can set sail on a second boat located just nearby, for a 3.5-hour cruise on the canal. Price: €45 per adult and €30 per child (minimum 4 people).
