Via ferrata du Vicdessos: A unique site in the Ariege Pyrenees!

Located in the heart of the Montcalm Nature Sports Resort, at the crossroads of the Vicdessos and Auzat valleys.
The reception chalet of Montcalm Aventure, the via ferrata operator, is located at the entrance to the village of Vicdessos.
Equipment hire is compulsory and included in the price of access to the routes.
Personal equipment is forbidden for safety reasons.
Via Ferrata are an introduction to the vertical world, an invitation to the wild beauty and mineral wealth of mountain sites. Enjoy this immense pleasure with family and friends. Via Ferrata offers vertical hikes with great sensations of emptiness. In 2022, a continuous lifeline was installed on both routes, making independent climbing even more accessible and safe.
The itineraries are equipped with beams, cables, ladders, footbridges and monkey bridges, enabling you to move easily and safely over natural cliffs.

Self-guided practice is offered with a regulated right of access for a fee, under the responsibility of the participants.

Three courses: for all tastes, with family or friends, from age 7 upwards and for everyone, an easy course awaits you.
For the more adventurous (aged 14 and over), there’s a 2 to 3-hour course offering a number of difficulties – a CHALLENGE for the more athletic!
