Basile Saint Germain is a perfectionist who goes as far as he can, from the vine to the cellar, to make wines in the Pézenas area that meet his exacting standards as a wine taster. His ten-hectare domaine, Les Aurelles, boasts a dream terroir, one of a kind (extract from the Bettane + Desseauve 2021 four-star guide).

Ideally consistent, these wines all age admirably. The crescendo over the last few vintages has been impressive, with the cuvées regularly establishing themselves as the most accomplished and distinguished in the Languedoc.
