Welcome to DOMAINE DE PIQUETALEN!
This estate, built in the 1790s by Jean-François Curée, a loyal friend of Napoleon’s, member of parliament for the Pézenas region and Comte de la Bedissiére, has been transformed over time into a winegrowing estate.
The Piquetalen estate is known to history buffs for its 6th-century sarcophagus, discovered on the land and now on display in the Louvre.
The numerous buildings have been converted into a comfortable 140 m² gîte, which is rented by the week.
The 20-hectare estate, including 12 hectares of vines, is located in the commune of Castelnau de Guers, in a valley with a splendid view over the town of Pézenas and the foothills of the Montagne Noire.
Classified as a nature reserve, the estate offers absolute peace and quiet for nature lovers and local painters alike.
