Mémento Mundi is a one-person guided tour company. Victoria Salle, creator of “Mémento Mundi”, is a native of the Béziers region, and holds a guide-lecturer card as well as professional certification as a walking and cycling tour leader. “Mémento Mundi was born of my desire to combine my passion for history with my passion for the outdoors. Two fields which may seem to be poles apart, but which complement each other so well when it comes to discovering a region. Mémento Mundi is Latin for “to remember the world”. Travelling is what made me come alive, what made me understand the value of life and its richness. Being immersed in a country, a region, a city, gives me a better understanding of the Earth?s beautiful diversity. It’s such a wonderful achievement as a guide to enable visitors to remember a moment, an encounter, a historical fact, a landscape, so that they too can remember the world.”
