Located above the hamlet of Charnavas, in the middle of the woods, the Racou gite is a shale stone gite combining comfort and authenticity. This independent gîte, adjoining the family farmhouse, promises calm and privacy.

This gîte is ideally located in the north of the Gard, at the crossroads of the Lozère and the Ardèche, in the Cévennes National Park (listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site – biosphere reserve since 1985).

Whether you are a sportsman, a hiker, a fishing enthusiast, a lover of beautiful gardens, a retiree, a lover of astronomy, history, geology, lazing on the banks of the Cèze or canoeing on the lake of Villefort, the owners will be happy to inform you on the spot.

Here there is no night pollution. The beautiful starry nights will delight you. You will have the possibility to discover many constellations. Documentation and advice on the starry sky will be at your disposal.

Mobile air-conditioning and fans are available in case of heat wave.

At 7 kms from the gîtes, all shops : supermarket, pharmacy, station and post office.
Also markets, restaurants, organic vegetables and fruits, honey from local beekeepers and excellent local products.
