Between town and countryside, a former dovecote turned into a charming haven

At the gates of Lavaur, this carefully renovated dovecote invites you to a getaway that blends charm, comfort, and nature. Nestled on the edge of town, the setting is peaceful yet just minutes from the historic center and its typical markets. From here, you can explore the villages of the Pays de Cocagne, nearby bastides, the Jardins des Martels, or Albi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Designed for 4 people, this 3-level gîte combines the character of a historic building with modern and refined amenities. The renovation highlights the volumes with particular attention to decoration, materials, and lighting—even inside the wardrobes!

On the ground floor, the bright and well-optimized living space opens generously to the outside. It features a well-equipped kitchen (freezer, oven, espresso machine…), a dining table, a century-old sofa, and a TV. Each room is air-conditioned for optimal comfort.

Access to the two bedrooms is via a beautiful exterior spiral staircase:
– On the 1st floor: a bedroom with a 160×200 bed, bathroom area with bathtub, separate toilet, blackout curtains.
– On the 2nd floor: a bedroom with a 140×190 bed, open bathroom with bathtub, separate toilet, blackout blinds, and stunning exposed beams.

Outside, the large terrace shaded by a majestic tree is ideal for meals. At night, soft lighting creates a magical atmosphere. The tree-filled garden, though not enclosed, ensures privacy and tranquility. You may hear birdsong or even spot deer in the early morning.

A parking space, barbecue, plancha, and electric vehicle charging station are available. The estate also features a discreet guinguette and an escape game, adding to the originality of your stay.
