La Font des Ormes, a 20-hectare family-run estate in the commune of Caux, certified biodynamic since 2018, produces wines and olive oil from volcanic soil.

Château La Font des Ormes is a 20-hectare family estate in the commune of Caux in the Hérault department. Its architecture is typically Languedoc.
Although the oldest parts of the estate date back to the 15th century, most of the buildings date from the 18th century. Before that, the landscape was quite different, marked by mixed farming and a diversity of products: cereals, olive trees, truffle oaks, flower meadows…
Certified organic since 2016 and biodynamic by Demeter since 2018, the estate, located on the lava flow of an ancient volcano, grows traditional Languedoc grape varieties on the very special terroir of pure basalt.

The estate is also home to two hectares of olive trees.
