Sous le Chêne is an eco-responsible outdoor restaurant in a shady, bucolic and relaxing setting, open from mid-May to mid-September.

A dozen tables are laid out in a garden, in the shade of a multi-centenary holm oak near a fountain. Calm and space are the order of the day.

“We make it a point of honor to offer you simple yet meticulous cuisine, with a Mediterranean and exotic influence. Virtually everything is 100% homemade, including most of the sauces and condiments for desserts and sorbets.
A significant proportion of our dishes are made fresh in front of you. The menu is limited: 3 starters, 3 main courses and 3 desserts. This guarantees optimum freshness. We also offer a vegetarian plate. Vegans or gluten-free are welcome (by reservation). We also grow our own edible flowers and collect wild plants to share unique taste experiences in our home-cooked dishes and drinks”.

All our wines and products are local, mostly organically grown and sourced through short supply chains. Local IGPs such as brandade de morue, Cévennes sweet onions and Reinette du Vigan are also featured on the menus.

Reservations strongly recommended by telephone. Limited seating.
