L’Optimiste (formerly Chez Charly) welcomes passing travelers and regular customers who are loyal to the cuisine of Chef Jonathan and the conviviality instilled by Wendy and Julien, the owners. It is in Cressensac, a small village in the north of the Lot, located 15 minutes from Brive, that the magic has been working since 2014. The dishes here are simple and tasty: Perigourdine salad with Rocamadour and chicken gizzards – home-made confits please! -, sea bass cheeks with saffron, tagine of autumn vegetables, not forgetting the traditional piece of beef and its home-made fries. Menus range from 9 to 24 €. And because Wendy and Julien attach as much importance to passing customers as they do to regulars, the menu is constantly being renewed!
