The place de la Canourgue (Canourgue Square) is the oldest and the beautifulest in Montpellier. This peaceful place is lined with beautiful mansions from the XVIIth century – just perfect to relax ! Its hackberry and box trees provide a beautiful setting for the the Fontaine des Licornes (“Unicorn Fountain”), surrounded by high-rise buildings and outdoor cafés. The square offers a beautiful view of Cathédrale Saint Pierre and the city’s rooftops.
