About

The Sabarat Astronomy Observatory in Ariège is a unique place to discover the universe. Throughout the year, a team of enthusiastic animators invites you to explore the sky through astronomy activities for all ages.

Whether on public evenings (registration required), private evenings for groups or families, or special sessions like the Astronomical Escape Game, you’ll enjoy an unforgettable experience, whatever the weather.

The Observatory also offers astronomy courses for all levels. The Little Dipper courses (AFA accredited) are specifically adapted for children aged 8 to 14, while the digital astro-photo courses offer a more in-depth immersion for astronomy enthusiasts.
Qualified instructors guide participants as they learn to observe the sky, planets and celestial objects using instruments.

Come and discover the exceptional 20 km scale model of the solar system, a unique experience in which the planets are distributed along the Arize valley, offering both an educational and visually stunning spectacle.

Book activities directly via the observatory website for an exceptional astronomy adventure.
