The Musée du Marbre was created to pay tribute to all those who, from the raw rock quarried from the mountains to the polished marbles of Versailles and elsewhere, have worked to bring out the best in this noble material. The ideal venue for this fabulous collection was the Anciens Thermes de Salut, a veritable marble palace, where paving stones, baths, a thermal gallery, a staircase and a refreshment bar are all reminiscent of marble craftsmanship.
