The university Paul – Valéry Montpellier III includes culture in all of its objectives: training, professionalisation, research, promotion, international standing and the acquisition of civic values. With this in mind, the Musée des Moulages (Museum of Casts) is not only an educational and scientific tool, but also an essential component of the University Paul Valéry. Not only does it bear witness to the teaching of archaeology and art from antiquity and the Middle Ages since the end of the 19th century, but it also plays a key role in the university’s cultural life thanks to the temporary exhibitions and scientific demonstrations that are regularly organised.
