About
Paleontological, archaeological and local history museum. Inside you will find a presentation of archaeological material from prospecting, an important collection of pottery from the 17th and 18th centuries. You can also discover four banners of the 1907 revolt (revolt of the Languedoc winegrowers) classified as Historical Monument, which started a few kilometers from there. But the treasure lies above all in the collection of dinosaur fossils that make the museum famous all over the world. The fossil of a unique bird dating from about 70 million years ago was discovered here. In the museum you will find a magnificent collection of dinosaur eggs, titanosaurus femur, coelacanth auxiliary, fossilized turtle shells.. In 2012, these excavations have brought to light a titanosaur femur of 90 cm and a cervical vertebra belonging to a bird of about 1.70 m, which confirms the presence of birds at the time of the dinosaurs.
