These water mills, dating from the 14th century, are the testimony of an ancestral activity in harmony with the environment. Guarantors of a rural and mountain authenticity, they are to be discovered in the hamlet of Gèdre-Dessus, in Moules Dera, on the gave of Campbieilh.
There are five of them, belonging to different families of the village. They were still in use in the 70’s and one of them even ran until 1985. They were renovated at the beginning of the 90s thanks to the will of their owners, the municipality and the Pyrenees National Park.
