The windmill of Brignemont is an exceptional listed monument open for the visit. It has kept the ancestral method of grinding grain. A wooded park also welcomes visitors. The windmill was built in 1740 by the Seigneur de Seguinville. It was restored in 1856 by « Favarol et fils » and was used until 1926. It was listed in 1991 and was fully restored by the present owner. Since 1996 the huge millstones have ground wheat and have produced a genuine wholemeal flour. After 70 years of inactivity the windmill has begun a new life with an educational and touristic purpose. The one hour guided tour will enable you to discover its restoration, its ancestral mechanism and its history.
