Inaugurated by Elie Wiesel on February 6th 2003, the “Musée de la Mémoire” or the Récébédou Camp memorial museum, is considered both a memorial and also a teaching tool for the younger generations.
The memorial museum, the “Musée de la Mémoire” of the Récébédou Camp : a place of memories, a teaching tool. The exposition was created from documents of the time, reconstitutions, a model of the camp and documentary archives allowing visitors to better know about the internment camp of Récébédou. Closed during the month of August and the last week in December.
Accès : Coming from Toulouse, turn right onto the Route d’Espagne. The museum is very close to the shopping area. From the motorway: exit Portet sur Garonne.
