The Jardin Bourian is a place to learn about the methods of “natural gardening” : conserving local and/or old species; putting the right plants together and managing the garden over time; understanding the more scientific aspects (meteorology, botany, geology); awareness of recycling garden waste (compost) and using straw mulching; biodiversity and welcoming animal life; respect for living creatures beneficial to gardens (bees, butterflies, birds, insects..); stimulating natural balance, diversification of habitats (pond, rockery, undergrowth, field hedges…) Tasting and preserving; making the most of the various plants produced.Le Jardin Bourian : A living space The good gestures of natural gardening – Preserve local and/or ancient plant species – To discover the right plant associations and the management of the garden over time – Address the more scientific aspects (meteorology, botany, geology…) – Raising awareness of waste recycling (compost) and mulching Biodiversity and the reception of garden guests – To educate to the respect of living and useful beings in the garden (bees, butterflies, birds, insects…) – Stimulate the natural balance, diversify habitats (ponds, rocky outcrops, undergrowth, hedges, etc.) Tasting and conservation – Enhancing the value of the different productions
