About

Founded by the Benedictine order, the Saint-Julien church became the possession of the priory of Notre-Dame-de-Pinel (Order of Grandmont) around 1220. Rebuilt in the 17th century, the church was extensively renovated in the 19th century and today presents a neo-gothic architecture characterized in particular by its pentagonal turrets. The church has the particularity of hosting in its former outbuildings an archaeological museum. Presence of a heritage panel on the site. A must see in the commune of Villariès: the Dovecote of the 19th century, the Washhouse/Trough, the Oak of Sully, the Archeological Museum.
