JAPANESE GARDEN
TOULOUSE , Haute-Garonne – Cultural heritage
About
If you would like enjoy a journey to the Orient, treat yourself to a Zen promenade in the Japanese Garden, which is labelled a Remarkable Garden.
Located in the heart of the Compans-Caffarelli park, the Pierre Baudis Japanese garden surprises by its exoticism. A true invitation to meditation and rest, it is a synthesis of the existing gardens in Kyoto, Japan, built between the 14th and 16th centuries. It is composed of all the characteristic elements: a staging of the mineral world, the plant world and the aquatic world decorated with typical decorative elements. There is a dry garden with a Crane Island, a Turtle Island and nine rocks, a lake, a tea pavilion and a planted garden composed of a dry waterfall, Japanese footsteps, a lantern, a red bridge, an island of Paradise, Mount Fuji and the stones of the three saints.
