Come and meet the life of prehistoric men in the magical setting of the cave. Unique concretions and prehistoric remains in place.

Covered with millions of calcite bubbles, the cave of Foissac is also a true Pompeii of prehistory: the collapse of the prehistoric entrance, 5000 years ago, has frozen and preserved the life of Neolithic men. We can see clay quarries, pottery, tools, weapons, jewelry, but also 60 burials. It is the only cave in France where we can observe real human skeletons, and the only decorated cave in Aveyron.

The cave can be visited on foot (about an hour) with a guide, along a track following the underground river.

Capacity: 30 people every 15 minutes (reservation recommended during the summer). Guided tour for groups by appointment.
