Situated between the sea and the mountains, the fortress of Salses offers visitors remarkable views in an exceptional natural setting. Built between 1497 and 1503, by order of the Catholic Monarchs, it protected the former border between France and Spain. Discover this unique monument, its history and its new tour route. Last tickets 45 minutes before closing time for self-guided tours, 1 h 15 before closing time for guided tours.
