A unique collection in France, renewed every week and entrusted by Mr. Jean-Pierre Malka. More than 1000 pieces of trenches that the Poilus tinkered with during the long hours of waiting. The smallest piece of metal, wood, stone or bone picked up on the spot was a pretext to occupy the hands and the mind to escape from the ambient tension and pass the time. Sometimes clumsy and naive creations, but also real little masterpieces: vases, letter openers, inkwells, rings, pendants… So many poignant testimonies of the craft of the trenches.
