About
Ancient abbey founded in 782 by Witiza, who entered the order in 774 under the name of Benedict. Center of the reform of the Benedictine order with the resumption of the place by the religious of the congregation of Saint-Maur in the 17th century. During the Revolution, the buildings were sold as national property. The abbey church became a parish church.
