About
Romanesque church.
The church of Saint-Pierre (formerly Saint-Barthélemy) is one of the many small mountain churches in the Larboust valley. Mentioned as far back as the Middle Ages, the original church dates back to the 12th century, in a simple Romanesque style. However, it has undergone numerous reconstructions and restorations, notably between 1868 and 1890, under the direction of the architect Castex. It contains two bells dating from 1579 and 1789, which are listed as historic monuments.
