The origin of the church of Castelbajac probably dates back to the arrival of the house of Castelbajac and consists of a baptismal vat that dates from the 7th century. The altar of the northern chapel, restored in 1994, is dedicated to Saint Peter and the altar of the southern chapel, is dedicated to Our Lady of Mercy. The current steeple dates from 1899. The barons of Castelbajac were buried in the Church until 1756.
